Long-Term Care: Are We Ready?
Bryan Langdon, CLU
National Spokesperson for Long-Term Care
Ash Brokerage
The “baby boom” generation has arrived. They are living longer and healthier lives. The combination of life expectancy and health will increase the need for Long-term care (LTC) services and put enormous pressure on care delivery. We live in a demand economy and when supply doesn’t keep pace with demand, we know that the cost of care will easily out pace current inflation. How quickly do we build more facilities? What will wage inflation do to the cost of care at home? The long-term care landscape is changing. Let’s discuss what higher utilization will do to the cost of care and where people will find the assets to insure their care.

Did you know that even after your clients enter a nursing home, you can still help them protect their assets? While long-term care insurance is the gold standard for managing the financial impact of extended care, many clients don't qualify for a policy or wait too long to have the discussion. But don’t worry—crisis planning can still make a significant difference. Medicaid Compliant Annuities are a powerful tool designed to preserve assets and accelerate Medicaid eligibility, helping your clients protect funds for a healthy spouse or future generations. In this session, we’ll provide an introduction to the Medicaid program and show you how to effectively use Medicaid Compliant Annuities to support your clients in their time of need.

Worksite LTC: What’s Best Traditional LTC, Life with LTC, or Both?
Kevin Sypnewski

Both products have some unique features and value propositions that will appeal to different individuals and families. Since we are helping people with a part of their personal finances, it gets… personal. We think there might be a way to not pigeonhole a person into a product or product form, but provide options.
